Emily Olive

EMILY OLIVE SCHWISOW has worked in the legal field for the past 6 years. She has experience in creditors' rights, estate planning, bankruptcy, foreclosure, litigation, and utility fields. Currently she is employed as a paralegal at Duke Energy Corporation, working primarily with electricity and natural gas. Emily's duties include managing complex litigation, researching case law, managing the discovery process, reviewing and summarizing daily reports, drafting pleadings and correspondence, and hearing preparation.

Emily's professional affiliations include the Columbus Bar Association (CBA), the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA), the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), and the Paralegal Association of Central Ohio (PACO). She has been a member of PACO since 2017.

Emily graduated in 2010 from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Minor in Spanish, and a Certificate in Women and Gender Studies. She graduated in 2014 from Columbus State Community College with a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies. She has been a certified paralegal through NALA since 2015. Emily has been a Notary Public since 2018.

Emily enjoys running, walking her dog Stark, and traveling with her husband Andrew.
