Topic: Cyber Security
Justin Root is a Special Agent in BCI's Cyber Crimes Unit where he conducts computer-related investigations and forensic examinations of suspect computer systems. Justin previously served as a police detective focusing on computer-crime and white-collar investigations. He spent two years as a task force officer with the FBI's Cyber Crimes Task Force and was commissioned as a Special Deputy United States Marshal. Justin has received training from the National White Collar Crime Center, the Alpha Group Center for Crime and Intelligence Analysis, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Justin received his law degree in 2008 with his legal practice focusing on general commercial litigation, information privacy, and data security.
Benita Kahn is a partner in the Columbus office who practices in the areas of privacy law, consumer protection laws, information security, telecommunications and energy law. Her industry concentrations include retail privacy and information security, retail compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws
Ms. Kahn graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University, J.D., 1982, and Cum Laude from the University of Akron, B.A., 1970. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, 2001-2006 and rated AV (preeminent legal ability) with Martindale-Hubbell.
Mark Storts is an Assistant General Counsel for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. He works in Nationwide's Office of Privacy, Technology, Information and Contract Services. Mark provides guidance on information security and privacy law, data governance, and data breach incident response. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), a Certified FAIR Risk Analyst and a HIPAA Associate. Mark received his law degree from Capital University Law School in 2000.
Josiah Wilkinson is an Assistant General Counsel for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. He works in Nationwide's Office of Privacy, Technology, Information and Contract Services. He advises Nationwide IT on data security, privacy, and contract matters. Prior to working in legal, he worked in Nationwide's Information Security department for over 7 years. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). Josiah received his law degree from Capital University Law School in 2006.
Diane D. Reynolds has an extensive background in corporate transactional,
finance and general business matters and possesses a unique depth of expertise in privacy/data security combined with strong technology experience, due to her lengthy involvement in the technology sector.
Diane also assists with the development and implementation of comprehensive privacy compliance programs and for five years has served as Vice President and General Counsel for a privately-held technology company ranked in Top 50 in the hosting industry with 200+ employees and operations in Europe, India and China.
Diane received her law degree from Capital University School of Law, an M.B.A.
from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. She holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States ("CIPP/US") credential, the global standard in privacy certification, through the International Association of Privacy Professionals ("IAPP") and is listed in Best Lawyers in America.
